Necessity Leads to Saggio Pocket
Saggio Pocket was born out of our desire to find a comfortable way to carry keys while swimming. Company founder and triathlete, Kathy, was searching for a way to carry her car keys while swimming. She tried various things including putting her keys on a chain around her neck but found that, as she started swimming longer distances, the chain cut into her neck.
As they say, “Necessity is the mother of invention”.
Kathy solved her problem by inventing the Saggio Pocket.
Initially, she intended just to make a few for those in her swimming community. Soon, though, many people were asking for them and she decided to turn her great idea into a business. Now, athletes of all types are using the Saggio Pocket to keep their stuff safe (and dry with the use of the zippered plastic insert) while they swim, bike, run, walk and even dance!
Are Magnets Safe?
Although we have never experienced any problem and routinely use our Saggio Pocket to hold credit cards, magnets could potentially damage magnetic storage media.
We are not aware of any health risks of magnets of the size in our products, but just to be safe we would advise pregnant women not to use our products.
Individuals with pacemakers or defibrillators may be sensitive to magnetic fields and should avoid magnets completely until they consult with their doctor.
Is the Saggio Pocket waterproof?
No, but if used properly, our 4 ml zippered plastic bag insert will keep your essentials safe and dry.
Will the Saggio Pocket hold my cell phone?
Saggio Pocket is not large enough to hold a cell phone, but we are currently working on new products. Check back with us, or sign up for our newsletter for updates.
